Where we started

Rebuilt from the studs out
This is where the room takes shape. We hung drywall across the walls and ceiling, then taped, floated, and sanded every seam smooth. New wiring fed recessed cans, large LED panels, and outlets placed for how the room would actually be used. A mini-split went in for heating and cooling, so the space stays comfortable through an Austin summer and the occasional cold snap.
Finishes that hold up to real life
Crisp paint with a deep green accent wall set the tone, and the floor got a full epoxy coating with a decorative flake finish. Epoxy is the right call for a garage turned room: it shrugs off stains, scuffs, and dropped tools, wipes clean in seconds, and still looks sharp under the new lighting. Trim, outlets, and fixtures were finished out so every corner felt intentional.
The reveal
What used to be storage is now a bright, comfortable flex room: a couch, a desk, warm lighting, and a floor that can take a beating.
